Girlfriends

We went up to visit our good friends Ryan and Nikki. They have a 2 and half year old daughter named Robin. The girls were being really cute while they were getting acquainted. Robin was bringing Lilly all kinds of fun toys and was even willing to share her "Mimi" with her. Our hope is that the two of them will eventually become great friends, who get completely wrapped up in play time together, so that the mommies and daddies can get their Spades back on (translation for the parents: That means that we would like to start playing Spades again at some point. Spades is a four person card game. Girls against guys). Although, I am not sure why the daddies want to resubject themselves to the whoopins' they used to get. Just kidding. They got lucky sometimes, either that or they pulled shanani-bleepin-gans. You see, in our youths, we were all quite the Spades enthusiasts. I remember sessions until 5am every once in awhile. Even without kids, I can't imagine doing that now. Anyhow, we will see how it goes with the two of them. I am sure that they have some good times together in their future and hopefully the cat fights will be kept to a minimum (or at least be kept between hands of Spades).


Amigas

Fuimos a visitar nuestros buenos amigos, Ryan y Nikki. Tienen una hija de dos años y medio que se llama Robin. Las niñas se portaron bien chulas mientras se estaban conociendo. Robin le seguía llevando juguetes muy divertidos, y hasta compartió su juguete "Mimi" con ella. Nuestra esperanza es que las dos se conviertan en buenas amigas, quienes están absortas en jugar, para que las mamas y los papas de cada una puedan volver a jugar Espadas (traducción para los adultos: Nos gustaría volver a jugar Espadas de nuevo, es un juego de naipe con 4 personas, las mujeres contra los hombres). Aunque, no estoy segura porque quieren a volver a jugar los hombres, les ganábamos siempre.

Son bromas, a veces tenían suerte. Suerte, o hacían trampa. Es que, en nuestra juventud eramos entusiastas de Espadas. Me acuerdo que jugábamos, de ves en cuando, hasta las 5 de la mañana. Pero hoy, hasta sin los niños, no me puedo imaginar volver a jugar así. De todos modos, veremos como les va a las niñas en ser amigas. Estoy segura que tendrán muchos tiempos divertidos en sus futuros, y espero que las peleas serán solamente sobre un juego de Espadas.
